Sauce Caffé, gourmet coffee and espresso started to develop when I moved back from Italy in 1996. After having lived in Italy for five years, I developed a joy/addiction for espresso coffee & gourmet coffee drinks. I now need my espresso coffee / cappuccinno fix to begin my day. Not being in Italy anymore where there are many fantastic independent espresso coffee bars on every block. I finally found an American corporate coffee house. I thought, maybe I won't miss Italy every morning. Boy was I wrong! Well first I paid for it. Wow, I couldn't believe how expensive it was for a morning cappuccinno. Then I tasted it, and thought, What is this? It isn't my Italian cappuccinno. So I went out to buy an Italian Style stovetop espresso coffee pot (Saucepot™), it's the coffeepot Italian use in their homes, and to find a source for quality freshly roasted espresso coffee beans. I was surprised that very few Americans were aware of or understood the stovetop espresso coffee method (Saucepot™); but then again I had just spent five years in Italy. So, today, I proudly bring you Sauce Caffé, gourmet coffee and espresso; my fusion of Italian & American coffee cultures. Caffé means coffee in Italian representing old world style and flavor.
